What is ISO 9000? |
In the late 1980s, a set of quality standards was adopted by the International
Organization for Standardization (ISO). These standards were designed to promote the worldwide development of a comprehensive quality system and certificates have been issued in approximately 175 countries. Companies adopting and
following specific requirements become ISO 9000 certified only after
successfully passing a stringent assessment of their company-wide quality
system.

| Simply put, ISO 9000 is a foundation for running a business well. Certification
demonstrates the capability of an organization to control the processes that
ensure their products and services will meet their customers' requirements each
and every time. This initiative is quickly becoming a requirement for companies
who expect to compete globally and to attain "supplier of choice" recognition.

What is ISO 9001:2008? |
| ISO 9001:2008 has been developed in order to introduce clarifications to the existing requirements of ISO 9001:2000 and changes that are intended to improve compatibility with ISO 14001:2004. ISO 9001:2008 does not introduce additional requirements nor does it change the intent of the ISO 9001:2000 standard. ISO 9001:2008 adopts a process control approach to quality system management. The standard was developed on a simple process-based structure. The process-based structure is well aligned with the process-based management approach, widely used in business today and focuses heavily on customer satisfaction and continual improvement. The process-based management approach centers on the following principles: Quality Management System, Management Responsibility, Resource Management, Product Realization, and Measurement, Analysis, and Improvement.

Why did TRS-RenTelco decide to pursue ISO certification? |
| Since we were intent on utilizing an established and well-recognized quality
standard to cement the foundation of our business, ISO 9000 was selected as the
tool to evaluate and standardize our processes. When we initially embarked on
the ISO initiative, we were looking for proven guidelines to help us become a
world-class supplier of choice in the electronic equipment rental and leasing
industry ... we found them in the ISO community.

How did TRS-RenTelco achieve ISO 9000 certification? |
| TRS-RenTelco began the quest to become ISO 9000 certified in 1994 by conducting self-evaluations of our existing internal processes and procedures. The standards and requirements set by ISO 9000 were then utilized as a basis by which we reviewed and improved our processes. Det Norske Veritas Industry B.V. (DNV), an international independent third party ISO auditing company, assessed our business. We were officially ISO 9001 certified in November 1994, and received certification to the ISO 9001:2000 standard in December 2002. In September 2006, TRS-RenTelco pursued and achieved ISO 9001:2000 recertification from Underwriters Laboratory (UL). We were assessed and received certification to the ISO 9001:2008 standard from UL DQS in September 2009.
